After graduating Teikyo University Rugby Club, and working as a planner of advertising company, brand creater, president’s secretary, Mr.Ishihara decided to launch a chocolate brand, from a totally different industry.
Having a chance to visit Colombia, he was fascinated by the freshness and deliciousness of Colombian cacao, and the scenery full of smiles through cacao. He wished to create a new culture of enjoying rich chocolate in Japan too, and started “ca ca o” in 2015.With a strong commitment to deliciousness and sustainability, he has his own cacao farm in Colombia and realize “Farm to Customer”. Holding the whole process by himself, he challenges to improve the quality every year. He combines art and science to design an overwhelming taste and new chocolate experience.For his recent works, he has been exploring cacao extensively, including the opening of the cacao gastronomy restaurant ROBB and projects with the medical industry.
