Co-creating Our Emergent Future: Waking up to our Earth body
“We are living in an historic moment. We are each called to take part in a great transformation. Our survival as a species is threatened by global warming, economic meltdown, and an ever-increasing gap between rich and poor. Yet these threats offer an opportunity to awaken as an interconnected and beloved community.”
Desmond Tutu – Foreword to Random Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty by M. Paloma Pavel and Anne Herbert.
We begin in gratitude. The climate crisis provides a powerful accelerating opportunity for individual and collective human evolution. in this co-creative and interactive workshop we will experience the embodied practice of deep time – as we re-member how to act our age – 13.7 billion years old. Participants will draw on simple embodied practices of “The work that Reconnects”. We will have the invitation to slow down in present time and see ourselves and one another with new eyes, coming home to our place in the web of life with greater confidence and courage.
Paloma will share images and stories of her work with front line communities in the United States and UK are responding to the climate crisis with practices that build Active Hope. We will go forth with a meditation interdependent co-arising, that is, the practice of Ubuntu – “I am because we are.” −and a dedication to the beings of the future.
Bring an object which connects you to Earth Body (such as feather, rock, shell, etc) to partake in the work.
